Noor & Dean’s Cafe Espresso Bar & Asian Fusion @ Noordin Street, Georgetown, Penang.

It had been in my long list of place to visit for don't know how many gazillion years and
finally i've made it;
Noor and Dean cafe checked!*evil grins*
This olde worlde cafe is located at Noordin Road in the heart of Georgetown , also known as 二条路 for the local. It features a combination of luxury accommodation and
excellent authentic cuisines from local to western,  nibbles to desserts.
This retro-nostalgia cafe is owned by Mr. Muniswaran and Mr. John. I'm glad to meet them in person and they are kind enough to bring us to tour around every corner of this beautiful heritage buiding.

Some peektures before i yak more about the cafe!
#Wall decoration with those historical photos.

 # A small part of the non-smoking area.

#The Bar

Let's start it here:
Noor & Dean's Platter ( Rm28 )
This platter consist of spring rolls, bread pakora, cucur udang and chicken wings
which goes very well with the spicy sambal and chili sauce.
Well done chef for showcasing malaysia in a simple starter like this!*Claps*
Shall i call it 'Multiracial Platter' instead? :)

 Cucur Udang ( Rm10 )
This is an asian style prawn fritters served with cucumbers and fried beancurds.
Dip it with the peanut sauce for a better savory sensation.

 Panini Mutton Varuval ( Rm16)
Creative fusion dish by the chef.
This is what happen when east meet west, awesomely delicious flavour
that keeps you busy munching happily away.
Never thought that combination of Panini and southern indian style spiced dry mutton can taste so good!*thumbs up*

 Gado-gado ( Rm18 )
Steamed mixed local vegetables with prawn fritters, boiled egg and peanut sauce.
This is an Indonesian food and gado-gado actually bring the meaning of 'mix'.
I will categorized this as a lighter starter.
However, I personally feel that this dishes is slightly overpriced.

 Grilled Chicken Arrosto ( Rm22 )
Grilled seasoned chicken rosemary sauced served with vegetables and potato of the day.

 Batter Mix Garupa Fish & Chip ( Rm26 )
Deep Fried Garupa fish with dip devil served with mix salad and chips.

Claypot Nasi Lemak with Ayam Rendang ( Rm18 )
This is definately one of my favorite of the day.
Look not down at the name of 'nasi lemak'.It's simplicity served at its best of even
Chef Wan would praise highly of it compare to the 'nasi lemak telanjang' he had on air;
literally the fragrance of the spiced rice cooked with coconut milk to me is like how cheese smells like to Jerry in Tom & Jerry show; if you know what i mean.*Ahem*
The smell seems to have a life of its own. And yes, I did fall in love with it.
Complete with the yummeh traditional malay dry chicken rendang, ikan bilis sambal & nasi lemak condiments, this is definately a Must-Try in Noor & Dean!

Nasi Gorang Jalan Dua ( Rm18 )
As what i have explain earlier on , Jalan Dua means Second Road, refers to Noordin Road.
This fried rice served with satay, ikan bilis, egg, chicken crackers and prawns.

Shish Kebab & Pasta ( Rm26 )
Not to be missed is the Shish Kebab & Pasta. A very eye catchy piece where you have a
long piece of skewer hanging and the pasta on the bottom.
It sure makes every head turn when the waiter/waitress bring in the dish!
The Kebab was very well marinated and cook. You can taste the spices blend
in the chicken in every bite.
As for the pasta i personally feel that its too bland for my liking.

Lamb Varuval ( Rm18 )
Southern indian style spiced dry mutton.

Raita ( Rm5 )
 Indian styled salad with yoghurt.

Sago Gula Melaka ( Rm6 )
Served with gula melaka and coconut syrup.
You will need to add in both the gula melaka and coconut syrup until it suit your liking.
Sago is my all time favourite and no doubt this would be my favourite too.

Sizzling Almond Cakes ( Rm12 )
Ohmeegosh!!
Life is uncertain for girls without desserts and finally here comes the
Swiss Almond Cake with vanilla ice cream on sizzling plate.
Freshly-sizzling-smokey! I likey! ;)

Banana Fritters with Vanilla Ice ( Rm8 )
Cream Deep fried pastry with sweet banana and vanilla ice cream.

Teoh’s Punch ( Rm12 )
Apple juice, pineapple juice, cranberry, orange topped with soda.

Cool Mint & Lime ( Rm12 )
Fitz Fresh muddles lime & mint over crushed iced topped with soda.
Best choice for thirst quencher!

Noor meets Dean’s ( Rm12 )
Cranberry juice, pineapple, orange, lemon juice, ginger ale & grenadine.

 Caffè Latte (RM8.00)
Espresso complemented with smooth flavors of steamed milk and milk foam.

Iced Vienna Coffee ( Rm14 )
Blended double shots of espresso in crushed iced topped with whipped cream.

  Mezzo Mezzo  ( Rm9 ) Hot ( Rm11 ) Cold
Marriage of Espresso & chocolate! Congrats for this perfect match!

 Milano Mocha Devine ( Rm14 )
Mocha sensation, blended with finest espresso & chocolate.
.
This cosy and comfortable zone is located on the second floor of the building which is a small private library where guest can spend their lovely time here with the owner's books collection.

They also have this very cool airy sky garden at the back of the upper floor.

Satisfied with every sip of my Mezzo Mezzo!

If you are looking for some nice place with
good environment at waiting for time pass may come and sit in.
Ones may find that the price is slightly overpriced
but trust me its worth more than what you paid.
